Job duties:

Prepares machine for operation by setting input packages, feeding thread or yarn through guides, and setting controls to produce articles of specified size and pattern. Places yarn packages on the machine and draws them through appropriate guides. Monitors machine operation to detect broken threads or yarn, the evenness of warp tension, and the quality of output. Removes completed garments and lengths of fabric from the machine. Cleans and oils the machine and reports any mechanical faults. Hand-knits garments and other items according to the pattern. Must be able to enter information into the machine system and computer systems.
